Would you create an artificial intelligence if you had the chance?

so suppose just for the sake of the argument that you are being approached by a group of Marsians and...they have the source code! They have it and they tell you that if you compile it...then the software will be a super shockingly smart artifical intelligence, much smarter than yourself and even the aliens. But...no one knows is the AI will be peacefull or evil. Would you compile it and then run it?
