I'm in a Musical Theatre Performance class, and we were assigned a song from the '70s to sing for the class on Tuesday. I was assigned the song "Soon" from Sondheim's A Little Night Music. Trouble is we have to find another song that is contrasting to the song we were given. I found the song on YouTube to get a sense of how fast it goes, and I can't really tell whether it's more uptempo or more like a ballad...It makes it difficult to choose a companion piece for this assignment...I was wondering if you could give me some input here. Thanks in advance!
