everyone sits around arguing about blue or red while the country goes down the toilet
 
Yes I would. But it's arguable that if we weren't here we would be elsewhere making things worse. Or sitting around feeling useless. You ever notice how when a house is on fire most people run from side to side talking about it instead of getting some water? Same thing.
 
The Titanic sunk because a sea monster attacked it. It doesn't say in the Bible that sea monsters exist, so they lied and made up a story about the iceberg.
 
Gene is correct - what are YOU doing to make things better?

People have been arguing politics since the word was invented. Nothing new about that. And trying to make people feel childish about talking politics is just plain silly. Are we supposed to just let the government figure out everything for us and not discuss the issues? We the people....that's what this country is all about toots.
 
Funny you should mention that, that's exactly the scenario I think of when I think of Obama supporters. The ship is sinking and Obama is telling the band to keep playing while Obama supporters are getting drunk dancing the night away while the ship sinks . God bless.
