Would you choose a Hyundai Elantra or a Toyota Rav 4?

We'd need a car mostly for commuting and highway miles, so in that way I'd choose the Hyundai Elantra, but of course the Toyota seems roomier and could fit a family of 5 (although my teenagers tend to drive their own cars now anyway). Basically I just want the best car that would have the BEST chance of lasting 180,000 miles or more. Also if I bought the Toyota I'd have to put it over 6 years and the Hyundai over 5 years, so that might be a big risk for the Toyota over the 6 if it breaks down. So I guess we're leaning towards the Hyundai for price, and reliability, but the Toyota is a sentimental favorite if I could afford it. What do you think?
Jake B- good advice! I will go with that and be happy it's somewhat of a sporty looking car too.
Rumblest- Thanks for helping!

The Rav-4 is a very highly rated automobile and compares roominess with good mpg while on the other hand the hyundai is sportier and and also provides great gas mileage so in your case I would choose the Hyundai if you are not carting your family around as much anymore because it will be cheaper at first and in the long run, although both cars are very reliable.
