This is really easier than you think. You're comparing apples and oranges, or even better, peanuts and cashews. If you need a truck, a Jeep will not do. If you're going to haul stuff, anything too tall or long or dirty or rough to fit in the Jeep, at least once a month, you need a truck. If you're going to pull a trailer at least once a month, you need a truck; (I don't care what you see people do, short-wheel-base high clearance vehicles were not designed to pull trailers).
If all that doesn't help you decide, compare the vehicles side by side. What are the tires like? Brakes? Body? How does it sound and feel when you shut the doors? Maintenance records? What's been replaced? Alternator, radiator, water pump? All the electrical work? Lights? Blinkers? Dash? Windshield wipers/washers? Horn? Radio?
If answering all those questions doesn't make your decision for you, remember this: You may buy a vehicle with your emotions, (how you feel about it), but you pay for it with your wallet.
