Would you be pissed if your boyfriend hit your car?

My boyfriend and I go into a fight in the parking lot at work, I had my hand on his driver's side door so that i could talk to him as soon as I let go of his car door he let his door slam into my car. I got mad and told him not to hit my car, and then he slams into it again. Now there is a nice big scratch on my car, which I am turning back into the dealer soon because its a lease. He claims it was all my fault because I was preventing him from leaving. All he had to do was ask me to move my hand from his door instead of slamming into my car. I told him if I need to pay for the damage, he should be responsible, but he refuses! What do you think...Is this my fault or his???
 
I think it's both of your guys' fault because you guys were both fighting in the first place.
Not only that, but I think you guys should break up. I seriously wouldn't want to go out with someone like him. I mean, if he hits an object, soon, he will probably start hitting you.
