Would you be allowed to work a civilian job (while off-duty) if you are in active

duty in the military? Say for example, you are a military physician. You have been through medical school and would then have a medical license and be allowed to practice medicine in the state where you are currently located. Would you then be allowed (off-duty, on the weekends or likewise) to practice medicine in a civilian ER, on your spare time to supplement income, provided that you would be available to the military at the whim of the military?

Or are there rules against this?
