Or like we call it in our home...Pop. I asked him what kind of pop he would like to drink and he just keeps telling me..."Pop" I ask if he wants Pepsi, Coke, Orange, Mt. Dew or 7-Up...his response is always "Pop" "I want Pop Mom!" I think I might lose it...

What do you call soft drinks?

Oh and for the record...my kids only get pop twice a week at the most and even then, they have to share a can or bottle. I know...I'm a meany. But they have no cavities!

We call it soda but will ask some one to please get me a Coke or Pepsi etc. And your kids don't need anymore soda/pop then they get. Good for you. Why not ask him what flavor he wants.

i avoid children under the age of 6 at all costs... therefore, this situation would never occur...

if it did however, i wouldn't give that child soda in the first place...

pop is a genre of music, not a consumable beverage...
pop is a nickname for your father or grandfather, not a consumable beverage...
pop is candy on the end of a stick, not a consumable beverage...

No.
Pop.

They only get juice, milk, or sometimes chocolate milk. when they hit 5 they can have a 7up or something on occasion.

Pop.
Line up the cans that are his choices. Tell him to pick one. If he decides after opening that he has changed his mind, explain he made the choice, and he drinks that or water.

In Canada, I don't think I've ever heard it called Soda. If someone said soda, we'd think baking soda.

I definitely refer to things more with brand names though, Orange is Crush, whether or not it's orange crush and there is only Coke.
Pep.... I can't even say it, isn't even in my dictionary.

It is called soda. But at least you dont call it coke. Coke is a brand.

You are a big meany...we got to have soda with dinner. The rest of the day it was kool aid or something like that
