Bush is going out, Obama is coming in - Bush Administration believed War was a solution in many cases they failed to archive their goals.Obama Administration believe diplomatic solution can solve many cases including Middle East crisis. Obama and his team intend to give UN ability to revive its diplomatic machines and this in a different angle UN was going to recognized the rights of Palestine, Hamas would have pushed their ticket to be recognized as free and fair Democratic elected body. In a different way this was a threat to Israel. So Israel has to pre-arrange to go into a war with Hamas with blessings of Bush Administration before they terminate the White House.USA is supporting Israel for one thing : business, we have seen lately C Rice shaking hands with Israel over arms deal. So I mean if there is Peace in Middle East (we all pray for that) it will mean there is no business for USA. "USA makes money" One man's poison, is one man's meat...USA creates fear to his allies and offer protection i.e Saudi Arabia, Israel etc..

Diplomatic solutions never work in the middle east because terrorists cannot be trusted.Fact: Gaza officials said buildings were schools when in reality they were bomb factories.Fact: Gaza officials said there were was no weapon smuggling when in fact there was a large amount of weapon smuggling.

Diplomacy can't work with Hamas. Hamas wants to use violence, and will use violence to get rid of Israel. They can't accept that the solution for their homeland means coexisting with the Israelis. For Obama's diplomacy in Israel/Palestine to work, Fatah MUST get back in power.

It's only a matter of time till the other Islamic countries get sick of the fighting and blow the shit out of Israel

Please try from here:1. “Many politicians and media personalities of Australia, USA and UK would sell their mother for Israel! I think it is a sickness. Generally speaking, they condemn Nazism while they embrace Zionism. They know the Zionism is older and worse than Nazism. They cry for sixty year old “European sickness” as holocaust while they are aiding and abetting Israeli holocaust in Palestine without any compunction whatsoever!” and 2. “Idiot News readers, columnists and shock jocks of Australia and USA should be reading these articles first before dancing with Zio-Nazis. I feel sorry for them.3. They also say;a. “God gave us this land”.b. “This holy land is for the Jews only and not for gentiles or goys”. Therefore they have the right to expel non Jews i.e. Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. etc as they have been doing so for the last sixty years with the assistance of the so called Christian USA, UK, Australia, … .c. “We are the chosen people of God”.d. “We are the master race …. .” 1. Hamas was created by Israel.2. Hamas is a lawfully elected sovereign government and NOT a terrorist organisation. 3. Many media reports including The Australian and Sydney Morning Herald below have been reporting the fact that so called “therroristh khamas rockets”(sic) are not the reason behind the recent Israeli massacre continuum in the occupied Palestine. The real reason is the Israelis believe such false notions as believing in a “MANIFEST DESTINY” and in the last sixty years concocted history and maps of 1947, 2000 and 2008 of Israel are undeniable evidence of the falsity and madness by Israel and their supporters. You and I can change the world for a better direction.

You are looking for reasons to support your individual feelings. To simplify, would you as an American Citizen living an everyday life support Cuba if they were throwing rockets and sending suicide bombers into our country causing death and destruction? You would be screaming for justice and when diplomacy did not work and they said, with pride, that they were going to destroy us you would demand that we fight back. The only stipulation that Israel has made is that they stop throwing rockets and yet Hammas continues to do so without thinking about the consequenes to their own people.

First the Kadima government must be prosecuted for war crimes against the Palestinian people as well as the targeting of U.N. infrastructure. I am not suggesting sanctions against the Israeli people, divestment or collective punishment. I tend to be a moderate, though I do not have to be this concessionary in my views. The White House is to blame in the sense that they pay for the injustice of occupation and settlements on Palestinian land along with more bombs for Lebanese and Palestinian civilians. May Rachel Corrie's death not be in vain. May we learn from her loss and tragedy, God bless her and may she rest in peace. If this is Zionism, I am not in agreement with it. I can accept a Jewish homeland in the Middle East and oppose all terrorism and racism against Jews or any other group of people, (e.g. ethnic cleansing of 850,000 Sephardic Jews, our brethren, from Arab lands in the forties and fifties), but if this is Zionist colonialism, I'd rather see an end to it. Jews overseas have nothing to gain from it and can immigrate anytime, so I fail to see the big political maneuvering on their part.

Gaza is basically a large concentration camp. The inmates have little or nothing to lose. Our support of Israel does not even make good business sense for our nation. It only makes good business sense for the International Corporate Fascist Movement and their neo-feudalist agenda.

Hamas is a TERRORIST Org. that has sworn to eliminate Israel...and stated that that point is NOT negotiable....which part of that are you unable to understand....And if they are a Democratically elected body....then those that elected them are supporters and getting what they deserve for allowing Hamas to come into power and start this mess by attacking first....Don't you hate FACTS they show you to be a bias uninformed TERRORIST supporter........

no I do not agree with your opinion. Diplomacy cannot and will not work when dealing with extremists and/or terrorists of any kind. Hamas has said repeatedly that they will not ever accept Israel's right to exist and will never stop trying to destroy them. How do you negotiate with that? you can't. The most that is possible using diplomacy with hamas is a fragile cease fire that they will just use to rearm, reorganize, and recruit. then they will break the cease fire and renew their attacks on Israel. Then the whole process starts over again. If the palestinian people actually want peace which is debatable, then they must get rid of hamas and stop attacking Israel.

Didn`t you forget to mention that the massacre needs to be stopped and the perpetrators need to be brought to justice?

yes I agree with you actually the only way to make peace in the middle east is diplomacy Israel knows very well that they can't destroy Hamas in a military way cause Hamas is just thoughts in the air no one can control Hamas is just a kind of a lot of organization in the area the only want to deal with them is diplomacy and Hamas showed that they don't mind diplomacy and they made that clear after participating in the 2006 election , Hamas won with a majority of 67 % and they said they were ready for a long term truce with Israel for 10 years but Israel didn't like the idea of Hamas taking charge cause as they say it's a terrorist organization It's obvious that diplomacy and making 2 states live in peace next to each other is the only way , this war will lead to more violence and hate which only the citizens on both sides will pay the price for it
