Would you agree that Apple is selling over-priced hardware, no longer expensive...

...hardware, since Intel/nVidia? I mean, the older ones were power pc, IBM. I could understand why they costed more. Now if you take a Macintosh apart, you are getting, realtek, broadcom, Intel, nVidia, and so forth. I like how the run now, but they just aren't worth it. For close to $3000.00 you get a notebook that is no more powerful than a semi-mid-performing computer that Dell or any other company could put together. Also, they are usually behind in technology when other, pc manufacturers are moving forward. They usually add some cool design and update their Software (great software I agree, but cheap software you got to remember, especially compared to Windows- Windows sucks!).. Or you can be a $2500.00 starter desktop, the only desktop configuration Apple has, that has a quad core in it; you can upgrade, but by the time you get to where it might cost you $2000-$2,500. for a custom built PC, you built yourself, you've probably spent close to $9000.00-10,000.00 with Apple. But it's all the same hardware, and the highest you can customizer your system (there is a limit) doesn't have anywhere near the capability of a customized PC at a lot lower price. I have a hackintosh that will kick most Macpro in the hind quarters, and it only cost me a little over a thousand, cuz I put some cool stuff into it. It runs osx better, I'd say than a Mac (I own Macs). So, would you say, they are basically ripping people off for their hardware, just so they can run an "excellent," but cheap OS that is built on normally open source freeBSD/netBSD structure - unix?

I say get a hackintosh; force apple to go custom and twist the hand of microsoft to lower the price of their OS and make it more stalwart, by going with Apple.
