Would you actually eat anything Heston Blumenthal cooked?

I find him fascinating to watch but he comes from the school of cookery I call 'effing around with food' After something has been messed about with in so many ways would you want to eat it? I like food that is recognisable as what it started out as. I remember him once doing a roast chicken that took two days!
