I ask this because, here in Portland, Or we have this thing called Theology on Tap. It was created as a Catholic led group which meets at a local brewery and discusses religion and theology. We have priests and presenters from the local Catholic university. Although it is mostly Catholic, we often have Anglican and Lutheran presenters and parishioners. Personally, I think the idea is great. Do any of you have anything like that? Would your religion allow religious discussion over a few beers? Does beer and religion mix?
Considering that Christ turned water into wine for his mother, I would put Jesus right at home in a nice brew pub setting.
Thank God, a fellow Portlander who understands that Bridgeport and the Lucky Labrador are the last places one could imagine a vicious bar fight.
Also, Portland Micro-brews are real fullbodied beers. The worst that I have ever seen happen was people having a pint or two over a burger and taking a nap.
