would yahoo email you asking you to confirm your details log in etc it looked...

...dodgy so I marked it as spam? I got a dodgy looking not to Professional looking email from customers services but the email looked suspect as the return address looked well naff it said if you didn't reply with the details within 14 days they would delete your account just didn't feel right
 
You are right to call this email dodgy by the looks of things, "phishy" as I would like to put it another way. What you got there is a phishing email. Whatever you do, you must never click on the link or reply to the message and give out your personal information to total strangers. Please remember that Y! doesn't ever send out unsolicited emails to verify your personal information, as this is already stored within its well-secured servers.

After that, turn around and get that message spammed straight into oblivion-without delay.
