would using a 150w inverter in my car to power a small radio be bad for the car?

I have terrible AM reception for my car stereo, so I have a 150w inverter, and I was thinking of purchasing a small plug in radio to get AM stations and use an AUX cable to get sound. Would using such an inverter cause problems for my car/battery?
