Would tofurkey meatless sandwhich slices be okay in a backpack for ~5hrs until lunch?

I'm a vegetarian. I go to university, but there's so few vegetarian options on campus (I live off campus in an apartment; but not enough time to go back to the apartment for lunches) so I'm thinking of starting to bring my own lunch. Haven't done this for 3 years, since highschool, as for the previous 3 years I've been in an on-campus residence and thus just went to my resident building's cafeteria. Now that im no longer living there, it's $15 admittance per day, which is way more than I want to dish out 5 days a week (total = 75$/week) for lunches. I can make them cheaper from home.

So...im not usually fond of the whole "fake meat" thing, but my vegetarian bf (who i live with) thought we ought to try these Tofurkey "meatless" sandwhich slices in our sandwhiches tommorow. Problem is, I leave for class at 7am, and lunch isn't until 12. So, they'd be sitting in my bookbag (not in a cool area) for ~5 hrs. Would that make the meatless sandwhich slices go bad? Of course, other things will be in the sandwhich too, like mushrooms, cucumber, tomato, spinach, etc, but im not as concerned about those things.

What do you think?
