Hello I am eligible for an Upgrade to the storm. They have the promotion right now where you buy one and get one free. I only need one, but if I do get the second one, and say in 5-6 days call it in lost, take off the data plan and just put that line back on the old phone. Would I be able to sell or do something with that blackberry that I reported lost, not stolen?
 
First, you would still have to pay every month for the second phone line. You agree to a new two-year contract for your old phone to get the upgrade AND you agree to a two-year contract for THAT phone when you get it for free.

Second, you won't be able to sell it because Verizion will block it as a "lost" phone.
They don't make a distinction betwen lost or stolen.
