would this work on my mazda 3?

i have a 2009 mazda 3 s sport 2.3 liter. and i want to aftermarket it with a cold air intake. will a performance intake kit for a 2006, 2007, 2008 work on the 2009. my brother told me that through those years, mazda did not change their 'design' under the hood
 
if its the same engine i dont see why not.

unless the intake you want has a MAF sensor that you OBD system will not recognize ... then you might have a problem in your hands
