Would this solve the Health Care Reform arguments?

Would you be apposed to single payer HC if we were offered what our lawmakers and federal employees get?

The identical policies? My understanding (after listening to Obama in his NH Town Hall "question & answer" meeting) is that they are offered a variety of different plans to choose from. He said something to the effect that because there are so many people enrolled that it's quite cost effective. Seems to me that having the entire country signed up, would create even more cost effectiveness, no?

So, why not offer us the cream of the crop like they have? After all, aren't we, the taxpayers, the people who pay for their insurance?

Also, since this insurance is in existance and already in use, wouldn't that negate the need for 1,000+ pages of "stuff" that most of our Representatives can't even comprehend?

Seems to me that if these lawmakers who wrote these proposed bills aren't willing to give their policies up to accept what they're proposing to us, it's mediocre at best.

Of course since most of us don't trust our own government, they would have to insure that once this would go into effect, it's not to be tampered with unless, it also effects them. In other words, no revisions unless it pretains to everyone equally.

What are your thoughts?

Being a Libertarian, I personally want the government out of my life. However, if they're going to shove this down our throats, and keeping in mind that WE'RE their employer and not the other way around, why not be on equal footing?
