Why don't we force welfare recipients to provide proof that they applied for a job. I doubt it would do any good, but it would get the cons to stop whining 'lazy' 'welfare', etc. There probably wouldn't be much fewer recipients, but the cons would be forced out of another lie!
We do? Oh, then why do you cons always whine about 'lazy welfare recipients'. Getting denied a job (sometimes in favor of someone who knows the employer, or has larger breasts) is not laziness.
how won't it help? The only people receiving welfare would be people trying to get a job. Wow, someone applying for and being denied a job. That's a lazy person trying to beat they system if I ever saw one.
 
Sounds like a good idea until the first incidence of fraud shows up. People are clever; if there is a document needed stating that this person applied for a job, you'd better believe that a cottage industry of printing up fake copies of that document would spring up in less than a week.
