Would this diet work for boosting metabolism and losing fat?

Breakfast (at around 7)- Kashi Lean cereal with low fat organic milk + piece of fruit
Snack (at around 11)- 8 to 10 almonds + bottle of water
Lunch (at 1:30)- chicken sandwich or pizza (not much choice here cause I have to eat school cafeteria lunch)
Snack (at around 4)- piece of fruit + sandwich
Dinner (at around 6)- whatever my mom prepares (usually healthy)

I've been told to spread out my meals into 5-6 meals instead of 3 a day (counting snacks as small meals) in order to speed up my metabolism, so that's what I did.
