Would this be a good setup?

I'm thinking of adding a sub to my '07 jetta I'm gonna have a shop do the wiring, but for the main components I was considering these for around $215 total.

I'm just looking for the most power I can get without having to upgrade wiring and add caps etc., I figure 400W on an 8ga kit will suffice. Another question, I'll have to use the high level inputs on the amp, will this cause any inconvenience or will wiring it to my rear speakers be fine sound quality? Where does the remote turn on lead connect if the factory HU doesn't provide a terminal?

8 gauge should be fine.As far as the remote with a factory radio install, you need to come out of your fuse panel and/or find a circuit thats only hot(on) when the key is in the on position. If you look in the fuse box you should see different fuses that that only come on with the key on.Some cars "radio" fuse is only hot when the key is on.If not you need a test light to test wjich fuse is hot with the key in the on position.Look for a fuse that says accessory, radio .If you look on the fuses there is 2 little metal dots or tabs on the top of the fuse. Most fuses are spade type or fork(ATC).One side might have power but the other wont.Find the fuse that BOTH metal tabs power up when the key is in the on position. If you cant figure it out,you can install a toggle switch or some type of switch inline. So you can run power to the switch and use it to turn on the amp. They carry switches at radioshack or walmart...the switch method is a cheesy method but does work.

400w sounds good. There should be no wiring problems but if you do, then you may need an upgraded cable. If the HU doesn't have a terminal then you may need to buy one that connects like an adapter.
