Would the test be accurate right now?

I'm on birth control pills, but had 1 minor mishap this month and took a pill about 6 hrs late. I only did it the one time and I really think I'm ok, not preggo, but I just want to be safe and sure because we were planning on going out with friends over the weekend and having some drinks and I would be really upset if I were preggo and drinking! I have 2 days left in my active pills, and then my period usually arrives on Tuesday (so 3 days into my sugar pills). Anyway, took a test today, it was negative, plan on taking another one tomorrow with AM urine and if it's negative also, do you think that's accurate? Thanks
By the way, the late pill was 2 weeks ago.
