would the performance of a solar cell change if its contained in a vacuum?

is there a difference between a set of solar cells in a box with air , compared to in a box that is near vacuum. both scenarios its sitting on top of a house charging batteries.

my question in nutshell is, if you reflected the photons back and forth , back to the cell. if there wasn't heat problems. would it bring up efficiency because of photons having "less friction" for longer period of time, inside this box.

thanks.
