Would the parts from a 1994 Dodge spirit transmission be transferable to a 1997

Dodge neon transmission? My 1997 Dodge Neon transmission is done for, and i have an old 1994 Dodge spirit sitting in the yard with a perfectly good transmission, they're both 3 speed automatic transmissions, i was wondering if i could possibly put together one good transmission from the two together.
