Would the Kawasaki Ninja 250r be good as a starting street bike?

Someone suggested it to me in another question and I just wanted to make sure if it would be dependable.

I'm looking to buy it either used or new, depending on what they may cost.

Also on youtube there is a video review of the bike

the person mentions it would be a great bike for beginners.

If you agree or have any other possibilities for me, please let me know and provide a source (you don't have to)... but at least tell me the make and model.
