Would Samba or Hangeland really boost our defence?

Mertesacker is a very good player but I think him and Cahill are out of our reach now cos of prices e.t.c.

Samba is unsettled and Hangeland might be easily persuaded

I think we should still develop Djourou though, our youth policy shouldn't go completely out of the window

FQ: With them could our chances against Barca improve?
