Would rigid pink foam insulation be a good solution to fix acoustics in a dance studio?

I plan to purchase pink foam insulation - the rigid kind - and then wrap fabric over it for aesthetics. My dance studio is very echo-y and i'd like to cut down on that. Ideas?
