I'm going to start bike riding, about 1 or 2 miles almost everyday, unless it rains, and I was wondering, could I lose weight that way? I'm 13, if that helps. I just want to know how long it could take before I see a difference, or any tips?

You're thirteen, so I'm sure you don't need to lose weight. But it will get you into shape! 1 or 2 miles goes by very fast when you're on a bike believe it or not, probably under 10 minutes. why not just set a time that you're going to go biking, like 25 minutes ? in that time i get in about 10 miles, and my lower body is in a lot better shape now then it was 3 months ago.

but results take time, so if you want them sooner pedal faster and try going up hills. you'll feel the burn but it's worth it.

yes, that would help. If you want to lose weight, stop drinking soda, even diet soda. Start drinking water. Cut back on your portion sizes when you eat your meals. For breakfast, eat a bowl of Special K or Cheerios with Skim Milk.
For Lunch, eat a Turkey sandwich on wheat bread, with mustard or Fat Free Mayonnaise.
Riding a bike is very good exercise, when losing weight.
