I have had my pocket bike for a while and i have never had a fuel filter on it so i think there might be alot of dirt in it. i just wanted to know if it would make a noticeable difference if i put a new one on there? and also would i have to use it for a while until it works properly like break it in?

A lot of carburated motorcycles don't have fuel filters but the carburators don't get clogged. The reason is the dirt sinks to the bottom of the float bowl. Instead of replaceing a fuel filter you drain the bottom of the float bowl. There should be a screw on the bottom. This is also the method for removing water that gets into the system. If you drain it into a small glass you can see how much water and dirt you have accumulated. Putting a new carburator on it would be a waste of money. The engines on those bikes are not that great and you will never get that much power from it. If you did tune it to have more power the cheap piston would not take the extra heat. Carburators don't need a break in period. But, really for that size of carburator they don't sell high performance ones. It would be no better than the original. .

No more then cleaning the old one.
You would have to tune it, (probably re-tune the cleaned old one also),
when you installed/re-installed it.
Once tuned, (if done right), that's as good as it will ever get.
