NO, the problem you would run into is the data transfer rate with the USB2 connection.

You could try a solid state esata drive.

It would actually be worse. USB flash drives are much, much slower than your internal SATA drive.

As said, the best upgrade would be a solid state SSD drive.

For performance increases relating to framerates though, you would be better off upgrading your video card, because FSX eats video memory like popcorn.
