Would people vote Libertarian if they knew what they stood for?

I've met a large amount of people that have never heard of the Libertarian Party, and when I explain their position, most of them seem to like them more than Democrats and Republicans. For those that don't know, Libertarians want to uphold individual freedoms to live our lives the way we want to. They support gay and women's rights, pro-choice, school vouchers, smaller government, lower taxes for all Americans, and a free market economy. They also want to take the government's hand out of industries that are better suited for private companies (welfare, public services, etc). They are against the healthcare reform and anything else the government wants to unlawfully force all Americans to comply to.
Due to the reputation of Bush and the current problems we're facing with Obama, do you think the average American would vote Libertarian IF they actually knew about them? (Libertarians are really underfunded when compared to the other parties and their media coverage is little to none.)
