Would parts be more expensive for a mustang than a toyota? first time buying?

I been driving my parent's cars and they really need it and at times they said it's mine but hen my dad sometimes said it wasn't. I plan on moving out and he needs it. I doubt he would let me take it. I want to get my own car. I live in a middle class neighborhood. It is so unfair that I see people at my jr college with audi's, bmw's, benz, volkswagen, newish camry's, altima's, nice trucks!! ugh!! WHY!!!? do they get those cars!!?!?
i want a nice car
i don't want a old corolla or a civic
i want a an acura rl, tl or legend
would a audi parts be way MORE expensive than acura parts?!?!?
if i get a DOMESTIC CAR i can get a low mileage and that would PROBABLY be more RELIABLE since people usually DON'T take car of there CAR. people don't do shi* do there car!!
they just drive it until it breaks!!
if i get a car used by a SENIOR CITIZEn they would most likely have a domestic!!
i would be spending more on the TOYOTA avalon, solora, mr2, celica than a DOMESTIC!! (most likely the car will have over 100k miles)
i think i will take my chances on a domestic with 70k miles!

whether it's in fashion, houses, etc.
 
Regarding your original question: Mustang parts (and Ford parts in general) might generally be cheaper than Toyota parts, but you'll be replacing those parts more often, as Fords have historically had horrible reliability*, whereas Toyotas are consistently ranked as the most trouble-free, reliable automobiles, according to Consumer Reports.

Also, if I were you I'd stay away from anything German unless it has the word "Porsche" on it. You'd think those prestigious German road cars would be reliable, considering how much you have to pay for them. Wrong! With Volkswagens, BMWs and Mercedes Benzes, you get a vehicle that's just as unreliable as your neighbor's Camaro, only the parts and labor for repairs are right up there at the top of the price range. Not good.

An Acura, meanwhile, would be a wonderfully reliable car, as long as its been well cared for. Don't write off the Hondas, though. In many cases, you'll get almost all the goodness of an Acura, but you'll pay less and it'll cost a little less to insure.




*This statement does not apply to late-model Fords, by the way, as they've really cleaned up their act in recent years. I've got a 2003 Focus ZX5 with the 2.3 liter engine, and it's been surprisingly dependable and free of unexpected maintenance issues.
 
who cares if those spoiled rich kids got nice cars. their daddies bought them a spot in college, they're probably likely to drop out.


you shouldn't meassure a person based on their wealth.

back to your question. mustang is american. american=break down more often, use more gas.

toyta=japanese. japanese=incredible quality, use less gas.

this isn't always the case btw. toyota previa's get 20 mpg...but that was back in the 90's. just take care of your car, hopefully it will return the favour.
