Would now be a good time to buy a new iMac?

I'm thinking of buying a new imac desktop, but is it a good idea with the economy down and all. Everyone tells me that I should because it will boost the economy and everything, but i'm just afraid if i do then in a month the original price of it will drop by like $500. Any ideas?
 
well the new lin-up is due out soonish.
and i cnat see it boosting the economy, youd be putting more money in a company, but not enough to make a diffence, its not like Apple will give $300 for each iMac sold to the govt.
