home, suggested towns, pls? I can work from home if high speed internet, husband, trucker, but may change careers.
Would like to move to SE OR where less rain, but can still grow a garden and buy

Bend is a nice little town and seems to have a lot less rain since it's on the other side of the mountains from Portland.
You might also consider Ontario, off of 84 near the Idaho line. If your husband is a trucker it will be better for him if you live near the interstate- more jobs available, or more freight if he's an owner/op. If I am not mistaken I get high-speed internet there with a cell phone based air card (I am a truck driver too, travel thru there on a regular basis)....so I am sure there are home based high-speed options. (And if not, you can go with Sprint cell service
