Hi All, I recently got a mountian bike, I am new to biking and have started riding it recently, I would like to enter a bike race but i am not sure of lots of things. Firstly can I because i am new to this, how many months training do i need to do before going into one? how many miles are they, or how many miles should i do one for? would i need to get a new bike for it before then since my costed £250 and its a giant. I am sure there are loads of bike enthusiasts out there which know alot about this, if you guys can explain in detail how i can go about it or what i should do that will be great, also where would i check for races as well?
