Would it put off a girl from dating a guy if he was abstaining from sex until marriage?

I'm still a virgin at 22, and I'm a Christian, but that's not entirely the reason why I'm abstaining. It's not so much because I'm afraid of sinning. I'd imagine that sex feels wonderful, BUT it's something that I only want to share with someone who I truly love and trust, and is irreplaceable to me.

I've got many female friends who seem quite fond of me, and I like a few of them too. But If I get romantically involved with one of them, I might disappoint her in some way.

For now, if I were to have a serious relationship, I'd want it to be built on deep platonic love, trust, honesty, and respect. I'd like to be with someone who I could share my most intimate life and secrets with, like my best friend; but more. If I were to marry someone, I'd want my wife to be that sort of person.

But it also doesn't seem like the fashionable or "in" thing to wait till marriage, and many people seem to think that deep platonic love in romantic relationships is boring.

To become so-called 'acceptable boyfriend material', will I need to change my views about sex? Do you think that my expectations in a relationship too high?

Thanks.

Nah course not. I think its sweet that you're saving yourself for one special girl.

That being said, I'd do my best to make it hard for you.
