Would it be weird to ask this girl to be my roommate?

I met this girl from at an open house at the college I plan to attend, and she is for sure going there too. We're going to be in this honnor housing plan, which is pretty much for the smarter freshman. I want to ask her to be my roommate (we're required to have roommates who are in the honor housing plan) because she was the only girl I met who I think I would get along with very well. Would it be weird to ask her to be my roommate next year even though I don't really know her? If not, how should I ask her??
 
No doesnt matter lol it doesnt mean anything if you want her to be your roomate its up to you :D
 
If you think that both of you would get along, then yes, do it. You could get to know her by becoming roommates. Just ask, you might be surprised
