Would it be weird if two girls sang "The Girl Is Mine" by Michael Jackson and Paul

McCartney? My friend and I are helping to set up our school talent show, but we also want to sing in it. We wanted to do a duet. I was going to do solo at first, and i wanted to sing something by Michael Jackson because i'm a hugeee fan. But thenn my friend said we should do a duet. I can't find a good song other than "The Girl Is Mine." Noww, what do you think of two girls singing that? Would that be weird? Or should we like, change the lyrics up a bit?? HELP! Auditions aree Oct. 1st!!!
 
That would be cool if you changed the lyrics. Just replace the word girl with boy. It probably wouldn't make much sense if you sang it with the original lyrics. It would kind of be like two white guys singing "Ebony And Ivory". lol
 
it is weird sometimes.but those are the words to the song.u can't help that.if somebody thinks that ur a lesbo if u sing a love song thats about a girl or ur gay if u sing a song by a girl thats too a boy then there just immature idiots.if u really want to sing it then change the words up.like change it from girl to boy.
 
It might be kind of weird...but do what you want. There are tons of other MJ songs to choose from, they don't necessarily have to be "duets" like "The Girl Is Mine" was..you could sing any michael jackson song, you could sing one part, your friend could sing another. I am saying choose another song because there are better michael jackson songs and maybe you could do a dance to another song, it would be more entertaining.
