so i was at a party friday night and my ex was there. we only went out for about a month and when we broke up i said i wanted to be friends but he made no effort to contact me so i thought as i broke up with him i shouldn't push it if he would find it hard. so we havent spoken in about 5 months.
it was a little awkward at the party but we spoke a bit and hugged a few times when he left - and i comforted him when his new gf got off with this sleazy guy (not really her choice but w/e)
and he said something like 'we should talk more' and i was like yeh sure.
so ive realised i miss talking to him and id like to be friends, so would it be weird if i sent him something like this?
hey hope youre ok after friday. dont know if you remember but you said we should talk more and i do miss talking to you. i didnt want to say anything before in case i was pushing it and you didnt want to know. so if you dont its fine, but i'd like to be friends

we're not at the same school (both 17 btw) so i dont see him anymore, except at any future parties of mutual friends. so really i just mean i want to be able to talk to him without it being awkward.
