Would it be stupid to put 2 ppi 1000 watt amps to my kicker L5's?

right now I have 1 precision power 1000/1 amp powering my 2 12 in L5s and its not going to it's full potential. I could get another ppi amp same thing really cheap instead of buying a whole new amp then hook them both up. Would this be a smart thing to do or no?
 
It would look great and depending on ohm load sound great just keep the gain turned down and be careful to not blow your subs good luck it should bang
