would it be okay to drill holes in the front of my pocket bike air filter?

my air intake only has holes in the bottom...would it go faster if i drilled more holes in the front?

are you talking about the air box, that surrounds the air filter? if so then you could drill holes in it to increase air flow...the filter will need to be cleaned more often because more air flow=more dirt...performance gains will be minimal...
