i live in an apartment complex and i have a very secure balcony that i was thinking about keeping her on it has a slight over hang to keep her in the shade. i live in california in the bay area so the temperatures are pretty decent. but yea

First it depends on the cage, glass tanks heat up to much in the sun and can literally cook a reptile.
Mesh cage for the summer might work, but indoors for the winter, and remember Balls are escape artists so it needs to be more than escape proof, also plenty of shade and a good sized bin for water bathing, a little sun for basking would do your Ball wonders, with the proper set up, no problem for the summer, winter she will hybernate out there, even though temperatures are still faily warm, so bring her indoors.

Its probably too cold. They come from more warm humid climates. I wouldnt do it but if you do at least get the poor guy a heat rock.

apartments dont care if you have snakes only cats and dogs. so i wouldnt keep it outside. it could get really cold or really hot for them and its usually cold when i go to california in the summer or the winter. im from florida and i thought about having my snakes outside but only for a minutei walked outside and it was like a billion degrees outside.
