would it be better to get a all mountian bike or 2 bikes, one for trail, one for dj?

ok so i ride trail and dirt jumps and i need a bike or bikes that will perform good on both. Right now im riding a devinci hucker which is kinda low end so im looking to upgrade. So i can either keep my current bike and get a dj like a norco ryde or something ( kona stuff or shred), this way would probably cost less but i'd end up upgrading my devinci to a better bike down the line. Or i could get an all mountain bike like a tranistion bank or a fullly ( not that great for dj though cause kinda heavy, so im opting for a ht) or a norco manik or sasquatch. Both will end up costing about the same when all is said and done but im just not sure exactly what i should do or what bike i should go for? Please post ur opinion

if you can afford a bike for each type of riding, that is the way to go. trying to make one bike do something it isn't really designed for works for a short time, but isn't a long term solution. a dirt jump bike cost a lot less than a good all mountain bike, so i would get that first. If you decide to get one bike to do it all, i'd look at something like the Kona Coilair. Depending how hard you ride, something like the stinky or Specialized SX Trail 2 could work. I recommend two bikes.
