Would it be bad to cook with seasoned cast iron every day?

I'm not too worried about me since I'm a frequent blood donor that struggles to keep my count up (needs to be above average to donate) but my boyfriend isn't a frequent donor and doesn't struggle to keep his up. I was considering taking my family's old cast iron stuff as well as buying new cast iron stuff. I just prefer the greener choice but HATE cooking with stainless steel. Would he be ok or is there a chance of iron overdose?
