Would it be bad to breed mixes for sport (more details inside)?

Okay I saw this question on a board so its loosely based on it.

flyball people do it. sled dog people have done it forever (the alaskan husky). if the breeder fits the bill as responsible otherwise (knows the lines, breeds only dogs proven to be excellent in their sport, health tests, places dogs responsibly, takes dogs back, etc) is it bad to breed mixes for sport?

You know like creating a modern day dog?

I don't think I'd be comepletely opposed to it. I mean so many dogs that were originally bred for purposes of the past can't truely do their jobs anymore (being less farming and hunting going on)

Why not breed a dog for todays purposes (sports, companionship, etc) Perhaps create some breeds for todays purposes.

Though I am against irresponsible breeding I do feel if done right some breeding of mixes could be rather beneficial (I know my dog is a mix and she is so smart and so athletic, I would never breed her I mean she is spayed.....she was just thrown away as a puppy with her mom and sister)

I think I could get on board if it were for a good reason (not my dog is cute I want to breed him)

Please don't crucify me for this its just a thought........

So what do you think>>>>

Modern day breed......yay or nay?
Again like I said I don't completely agree but do in some aspects.....it was just an interesting topic

I know a well known agility trainer who breeds larger breeds with JR's to get the small size of the JR so the jumps could be lowered or the larger dogs on the team.. Unethical to say the least.
