and stop growing? Should I ride my bike every other day, or is it safe to ride my bike every day?

I actually prefer biking over other forms of exercise. It's fun. :)

My goal is to lose fat and gain muscle

Cycling is a cardiovascular exercise so you can do as much as you like. I ride about every day and sometimes twice. It's very good for the heart, lungs and toning the legs.

Start out with a very easy 10 min ride to warm up. After the warm up you want to pedal at a high cadence 70-90 rpm's with a lite pressure on the pedals. That will use your slow twitch muscles that use fat as a fuel and can go for a very long time. You want a gear that will get your breathing to the point where you can still talk but not sing. If you need to catch your breath or you legs start to hurt drop down a gear or two and keep going. You want to avoid mashing hard on the pedals, that will kill your legs very quickly.

Start out with short rides until your butt gets use to the saddle. If you do an extra long or hard ride take a day off to recover. Keep track of your rides and try to improve. Don't worry about your speed at first you want to ride for distance. Give yourself about three weeks before you expect to see results. It takes time to build muscles.

uhh biking alot everyday will make you tired and get injured, but if you're just doing it a little bit each time then every day would be fine. really just don't strain yourself.

and i think by stop growing you're referring to a plateau. any exercise becomes less effective the more you do it because your body becomes more efficient at doing it. So, is weight loss is your ultimate goal, to accomplish the most in the littlest time you need to switch up the movements fairly regularly. good luck!
