Would it be a bad ideal to buy a Pontiac now?

I used to have two. Both where dependable. I know that they are going to stop making them. Someone told me they will be very expensive to repair and insure now that they are going to stop making them. Is this true?

Bog, you're clueless...GM's quality had nothing to do with their financial situation...if Ford was so much better why have they been behind GM in sales for the last...hmmm...few DECADES. Tool.

Anyway, even with Pontiac being shut down at the end of the year it's still a good time to buy one. All warranty and service work can be performed at any dealership and the parts for these cars will still be plentiful, regardless if it's GM or an aftermarket company producing the parts they'll be around for a while.
