As I understand it, education at Scottish universities is free for Scottish people as well as residents of other EU countries, except the rest of the United Kingdom.
I have, and always have had, dual nationality: English and Finnish. I've been living in Finland for about a year, and by the time I qualify for university entrance, I will have been here for three or four. I had lived in England for my whole life previous to moving here.
Would I be entitled to free education at Scottish universities because I am a Finnish national, or would I be ineligible because I am also English? Or do I understand the situation incorrectly?
Sourced answers appreciated. Thanks!
