I just got two RE Audio SE12D2 dual voice coil 2ohm 12" subs which are 1200max 600rms a piece (so 2400max and 1200rms total) and i was gonna get a Alpine MRP-M1000 amp to power them, but i dont wanna have to get a new alternator. The amp says its 1000rms@2ohms. Im not sure if thats to much or should i go with a lower watt like 900rms@2ohms? or will that make my subs sound bad from clipping and maybe blow the amp? I just dont got the money to buy a new alternator right now and i want my subs to hit right and sound good without my car dying. I have a 2002 chevy S-10 extended cab if that makes a difference.
