This isn't about remakes.

I was watching the film To Kill a Mockingbird and afterwarRAB got thinking if this film hadn't been made but was made now, who would be good in the lead role of Atticus Finch?

I came up with two names. Kevin Spacey and Richard Dreyfuss.

So this got me thinking about other films older films. I chose pre-1980.

If the original version of the film hadn't been made but were made today as a film, who would be good in the film and playing which roles?
 
gerard butler or nathan fillion as "indiana jones" in "raiders of the lost ark"

josh holloway as "snake plissken" in "escape from new york"
 
I can see Nathan as Indiana more than Gerard because Garard can look like an action hero. Indiana is an archeologist and not a hero which is kind of why it works with Harrison. It's the same with Nick Cage in the National Treasure films. He doesn't look like a heroric adventurer.

I have no idea who Josh Holloway is. I'll have to look him up. :p

I think Clive Owen or Collin Farrell would make a good Snake Plissken.
 
Ahh right thanks. I was thinking of him but had no idea what the actor was called. He would be good in the role although it's not a million miles away from Sawyer.
